Enfield Disability Action
"disability is not caused by an individual disabled person's impairment but by the way SOCIETY fails to meet their needs"
Occupational Therapy Action Group
The Occupational Therapy Action Group (OTAG) is for people who use the occupational therapy and rehabilitation services in Enfield. It is a project by Enfield Disability Action and needs your help. We know that people have lots of information and expertise about their own service needs. OTAG is about sharing this expertise.
We aim to:
- Answer any questions about what occupational therapy and rehabilitation do, and how they help you.
- Support and provide opportunities for people to help each other, and share their experiences of services.
- To support local disability and community groups, and individuals to use existing help
- Make sure that people's views and opinions are used to help improve services.
We are working towards our aims by:
- Meeting people of all ages with physical disabilities, visual impairments, deaf people, people with dementia, their relatives and careers.
- Developing a users Sub-Group, so the project is user led.
- Holding workshops, drop-ins, meetings and open days, where you can meet others who have needs like yours.
- Supporting EDA's Wheelchair Users Forum.
